Moodymann and Kenny Dope remix ‘Rude Movements’

Brooklyn / Detroit

One killer producer duo, Moodymann and Kenny Dope, have joined forces to rework SunPalace’s classic photo-house track ‘Rude Movements’ for a limited run of 7-inch vinyl. The track first gained prominence on the dance floors of David Mancuso’s infamous ‘Loft Parties’ in the 80s, with it now being regarded as emblematic of the early electronic dance movement. A heavily influential record for both artists and their own musical trajectories, it seemed only right that SunPalace’s producer Mike Collins commissioned them personally to remix the track before his death in 2018. The Carvery Studio has had the pleasure of mastering all SunPalace records since 2016.

Mastered by Frank Merritt and pressed by The Carvery Studio ahead of its release on BBE‘s vinyl-only, daughter label ALIM due to drop on October 16th. Be sure to secure your copy by pre-ordering it here.
